The FIA has decided to remove Sara Mariani from her position as the Sustainability, Diversity, and Inclusion (D&I) director due to organizational changes. Mariani expressed her gratitude for the experience and the work accomplished during her tenure. Sara Mariani highlighted the importance of rewarding talent and promoting women in leadership roles in her farewell note. The FIA announced structural changes that will split the sustainability, diversity, and inclusion function into two separate divisions. The FIA aims to support Sara Mariani during her transition while implementing these changes. Alessandra Malhame will now oversee the diversity and inclusion efforts within the FIA. The organization expressed its commitment to advancing opportunities for women within the FIA and the motorsport industry at large.
